Just !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , though !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and I want to install custom triathlon aero bars or something similar, so I can use it for top-speed runs.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I think the Giant is enough aero-road bike for me, but I would also love to have this one, but in Prussian blue.
26”, because fuck you split times, I’m gonna do a triple !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (but this is mostly I find even 650B’s too big for me, and even this I wanna apply the supermoto treatment. I’m 5’7”). But before that, are there hybrid on/off-road tires for these kinds of bikes? I’d like to know, as well as all-weather and/or all-season ones.
There. My two-bike setup. Oh, whoops, I forgot a commuter one.
Alright, perfect. I’m all set.

You still need a tandem for dates, and a cargo bike for carrying assorted

$5K for a bike , no matter how well built or special it is , is insane.
would anyone insure a cyclist with a bike worth that much?
you wouldn’t want to have it pinched.

That’s the problem. I so do love an aero bike, but even five grand is insane for some blokes. But then, it’s not like I’m gonna use this every day, and certainly not on some bad roads I encounter here in Manila.
The MTB one more so, but then again, the bike itself is insane.

The cargo bike’s easy; just add a basket in front and rack with straps at the back of the Birdy bike. The tandem bike... well, any cheap-yet-spiffy models out there?

I know pro/pro-am cyclists. The cheapest bike I’ve seen serious racers (non pro) use was around $3k.
It’s crazy to someone not in that world but it’s also really cool. They’re bikes that you can lift with a couple fingers because it’s almost all carbon fiber.
As with anything, people will pay if they see the value. Just replace bikes with race car quality parts. For the average, non racer that never sees a track there will be little to no difference on the street but they like the association.

The proper number of bicycles is always n+1.

Yep I’ve ridden one of those too. Crazy stuff. I’d compare it to a trophy trick. The suspension was incredible. It was a rental at a mountain

Well, there’s always the used-bike market.

Absolutely

Oh boy, I'm not that hardcore. I have my one hog and it's a Fuji Tread 1.5 that I ride to work, for exercise, and anything else.

‘hybrid tires’ yea, there are semi slicks... “on a session 8’ HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA dude you can NOT use these things on the road. there is just WAY to too much travel. you push the pedal and the only thing that happens is that that suspension compresses and you dont go any where.
rather then that, get an all mountain like a remedy or a slash. still big travel (160mm IIRC) but you can actually pedal

dude....8k doesnt even begin to start it. i’ve personally worked on bikes worth 12-15k. The most expensive one i’ve ever seen was 17 (mountain bike)
full carbon frames
air suspension (on the mountian bikes)
electronic shifting
carbon wheels.
hybraulic disk brakes (this is a standard on mountian bikes now)
2 of my bikes were 3k each.

these arent bikes you ride to the store. you know that right?
![]() 06/28/2015 at 10:54 |

The Slash one. Do they still have 26er ones, or at least, are there still compatible 26” wheels for ‘em?
![]() 06/28/2015 at 11:16 |
|
dude, why do you want 26’s? the bicycle is big?
move down a frame size or two. the wheels are just that. wheels. its actually hard to find a 26inch wheel not because, well, they arent that good. (this coming from a guy ON a 26’)
Also,. i would have said look at a fuel EX, but those are now 27.5 or 29. no longer 26inch. dam.
![]() 06/28/2015 at 11:17 |

Aurgh. This is why I need to be a bit taller.
![]() 06/28/2015 at 11:19 |
|
dude. FRAME SIZE. I give women who are like 5’3” a small size, go to a store and find a frame that fit you. THEN worry about the rest of the bike. these arent walmart bikes, each bike has several sizes set up so its not just limited to 1 height range.

Oh, sweet. Thanks for the advice. Looks like I’ll get my dream MTB after all.
![]() 06/28/2015 at 11:24 |
|
yea. i’m 5”10, and i’m on a 18.5 inch frame. and i still have the seat out a bit
for you, probably a 16.5 would work.

so you can get a package including the rental, lift ticket, helmet, body armor, and a 1 hr lesson for $100. The instructor for our lesson road down the trail for a good distance just on his front tire. I’m guessing if your good enough you could do whatever you want.
